Machine Wash Angora Thermal Ankle Socks

(Normal Foot)

Beautiful socks with the convenience of machine washing (30 deg C on wool wash cycle) but still with the luxury of angora.  No elastic at top, just lightly ribbed.

Fibre Content: 46%angora/37%lambswool/9%polyamide/8%elastan

Stock Colours - Natural white, pink, fawn, navy, charcoal, black & dark olive (shown below right).

To fit UK shoe sizes : 3-6 and 7-9.  Please state shoe size as new stock are in the size bands used for the THICK socks. 

We are gradually moving to just sizes 2-7 and 8 -13.

Hand Wash Angora thermal socks, (ankle socks right), are now one of our biggest selling items.  Superbly warm and comfortable these angora thermal socks are available in a range of colours and two styles - ankle and knee length.  They utilise the unique thermal properties of angora wool (angora has been shown to be up to three times warmer than sheep's wool).  Knitted (with fully fashioned heels) from a luxuriously soft 50% angora 50% lambswool yarn and particularly beneficial to those prone to cold feet - they also make ideal bed socks.  No elastic at top, just lightly ribbed.

A customer (right, lower picture) models our socks at 15,125 feet up on the Laurebihayak Pass in Nepal.

Now sold to a wide range of customers from pensioners to fisherman, sailors, walkers, cyclists, golfers etc etc. Indeed anyone with cold feet, chilblains, diabetes, poor circulation, arthritis and especially those suffering from Raynaud's disease. For extended wear it is recommended that a thin outer sock (or foot of a stocking) is worn over the angora sock.     Hand wash only.   Short spin and gently ease back into shape.  Allow to dry naturally.

Sheepskin Insoles,

newly introduced insole choice.  Made from high quality, tanned sheepskins with the wool trimmed to ½".  Makes all the difference in boots, shoes and slippers.  Revive your sheepskin slippers by using these insoles in them. Keep them clean and fresh with talcum powder brushed in and shaken out.

Continuing our successful range of delightfully warm and comfortable slippers made from the finest tanned sheepskins. Make no mistake these slippers are 100% genuine soft and supple sheepskin. No synthetic materials used.
Tip: If the slippers need cleaning, dust inside and out with talcum powder.
NB These are soft carpet slippers not suitable for outdoor wear or where additional foot support is required.
